Tubular breast deformity or Tuberous breast deformity, uneven breasts correction
Dr. John Anastasatos performed surgery for this patient pictured below. This is a difficult operation and case. Look at her breasts in the before and after pictures. In the before pictures especially the front view the asymmetry of her breasts is obvious. More than that though her right breast has a tuberous or tubular appearance. She has a mild form of tubular breast deformity.
When it comes to tubular breast deformity there is much improvement to be made with breast surgery but it can never be totally perfect.
The correction of tubular breast deformity requires the use and placement of breast implants. The typical incision is through the areola.
This case was additionally difficult because I had to expand the breast pockets. She had very little breast tissue as you can see in her before picture. When you expand the breast skin and the breast tissue then the nipple-areolar complex also expands. That is not ideal but unavoidable since this patient wanted to have larger size breasts.
Her breast implants were saline filled and the volumes were around 300c. The breast implant profile was moderate profile.
I am very happy about this case because I was able to improve her symmetry with just one operation.
